From the GTS92 team, in relation to the recent events in which this team has been involved following the latest news from the GT community, we wish to communicate the following:
- GTSpain has not been involved in, nor was it aware at any time of, the illegal actions its drivers were engaging in on a personal basis.
- GTSpain openly rejects any illegal behavior that may occur with any driver competing under this team's name.
- GTSpain will not allow this type of behavior to tarnish the image and values this team strives to promote, and therefore, we communicate the following:
GTSpain as a team, and after listening to all the parties involved and their explanations, has made the unilateral decision to expel Samuel, Mateo and Martín from the team.
The values and commitment that are acquired when any driver carries these initials are above everything and everyone. This team will not allow individual actions that tarnish these values to happen again, and that is why it has made this irrevocable decision.
Believe us, it hurts us the most because after having placed all our trust in our drivers, we feel they have let us down, not only us but the entire community, sponsors, championships, and drivers.
The values and commitment of this team are to always give our all and strive to compete at the highest level in all the competitions we participate in. However, as a team, not everything is worth it, since the team is and will always continue to be above everything and everyone.
We will never allow this to happen again, nor do we want anyone who acts like this to carry our team initials.
